Join our Associate Board
Role Overview
We are seeking motivated, community-minded individuals in the New York City area to join our Associate Board and help us advance the mission of Extreme Kids & Crew. This role involves a mix of in-person and virtual meetings, with a commitment to a renewable one-year term annually. As an Associate Board Member, you will play a key role in expanding the reach and impact of our programs, collaborating closely with other board members, staff, and volunteers. This position offers an incredible opportunity to get involved in disability advocacy and community building, emphasizing enhancing our programming for neurodivergent youth and their families. The Associate Board is necessary for the sustainability of our organization, helping to strengthen our programs, foster partnerships, and grow awareness about our mission. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting neurodivergent communities who want to make a meaningful difference.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Associate Board Members fulfill a variety of roles that are essential to our success. Key responsibilities include advocacy and outreach, where you will promote our mission within your network, and fundraising and development to help secure vital resources. Members also offer valuable feedback on program initiatives, volunteer at events, and play a role in building partnerships with other organizations. Ideal candidates will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience in fundraising, community engagement, or advocacy. The commitment includes attending regular board meetings, actively participating in our events, and leveraging personal and professional networks to support Extreme Kids & Crew’s goals.
