Part-Time – Contract Position: Gamer/Dungeon Master for Neurodivergent Youth (Ages 12-17)
Position Summary:
Extreme Kids & Crew seeks a passionate and skilled Gamer/Dungeon Master (DM) to lead engaging, inclusive gaming sessions for neurodivergent youth aged 12-17. The ideal candidate will create a fun, supportive environment fostering creativity, teamwork, and self-expression through tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) like Dungeons & Dragons and other collaborative games like Roblox and Minecraft.
Schedule:
In-Person Session: Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Brooklyn, NY.
Virtual Session: Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM via Zoom or other online platforms.

Design and lead immersive TTRPG campaigns tailored to the interests and abilities of neurodivergent youth.
Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive gaming environment where all participants feel valued and heard.
Adapt game mechanics and storytelling to accommodate different neurodivergent needs and communication styles.
Collaborate with EKC staff and families to ensure programming aligns with participants’ strengths and goals.
Encourage social interaction, problem-solving, and teamwork during sessions.
Maintain professionalism, clear communication, and reliable attendance.

Experience as a Dungeon Master or similar leadership role in TTRPGs (Dungeons & Dragons experience strongly preferred).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with neurodivergent youth and/or experience in inclusive education or programming.
Strong storytelling, improvisation, and creative thinking skills.
Patience, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal communication.
Familiarity with virtual gaming tools (e.g., Roll20, Discord, Zoom) and in-person gaming best practices.
Familiarity with virtual games, such as Roblox, and Minecraft, and knows how to manage gaming tech.
Commitment to creating a positive and empowering experience for all participants.
Three-month commitment.

$18 – $25 per hour (to be discussed based on experience).
